In May of 2009, video game players were introduced to Minecraft, a survival game with less focus on the usual gaming goals of combat or conquest and more on building and exploring. Minecraft’s biggest draw for most is creativity, particularly when it comes to using the game’s 8-bit blocks to build whatever a player’s imagination can cook up.   Life is Sweet Designs worked with the guest of honor and family to bring Minecraft’s virtual world to life at the Payne-Corley House.

A Dr. Seuss inspired baby shower for Leslie and Mario Waugh brought a little bit of Cat in The Hat to the Payne-Corley House.  Guests were asked to pick a team and take a button…Thing 1 if they thought it was going to be a girl and Thing 2 for a boy.

Julie and her husband Tony put together a fabulous birthday party for 50 of their closest friends. Julie handmade all of the decorations and they were absolutely fantastic! The event had the magical, over-the-top feel of a kid’s birthday party, right down to the guests’ party hats, personally crafted by Julie. To complete the theme, dessert featured a gourmet candy bar with delicious cupcakes.
